The Tema e Variazioni n.1 wall plate is the original expression of Piero Fornasetti’s legendary series, conceived in 1952. Featuring the iconic face of opera singer Lina Cavalieri, this hand-decorated black and white porcelain plate marks the beginning of one of the most celebrated visual explorations in decorative design.
Reinterpreted in over 400 variations, the portrait becomes a symbol of irony, illusion, and graphic experimentation. Designed to be displayed on a wall or used as a refined tabletop ornament, this collectible piece embodies the artistic heritage of the Fornasetti Atelier in Milan, where each plate is individually crafted by hand.
