Maison Territo has been named Grand Winner at the 2026 Grands Prix du Design, in the Large Retail Space category. For founders David Territo and Liv Siv-Ing, the distinction reaches past the finished showroom. It marks the moment when an idea they carried for years, creating a new kind of design destination in Montreal, was acknowledged for what it eventually became: a place where architecture, interiors and internationally recognized design houses come together under one roof.
From an idea to a design destination
Maison Territo was imagined as a destination rather than a furniture showroom. David and Liv pictured an immersive place where visitors could discover different creative worlds through the space itself. Turning that vision into reality took years of planning, significant investment, difficult decisions and the willingness to believe in something that, for a long time, existed only in their imagination. The award gives visibility to the result, and also to the determination and work that made it possible.
Bringing the Maison Territo vision to life
Patrick Blanchette translated that initial vision into an architecture spanning more than 11,000 square feet at Royalmount. Within the showroom, Fendi Casa, Bentley Home, Dolce&Gabbana Casa and Versace Home keep their own identities while forming part of one continuous route. Aluminum arches, carefully selected materials, changing atmospheres and flexible architectural elements guide visitors through the space. At its centre, a sculptural bar and a monumental lighting installation by Quebec studio Larose Guyon give the project a strong local connection.
Recognition for everyone behind the project
A completed space rarely shows everything it took to build: the challenges, setbacks, sacrifices and decisions that happen away from public view. That is why the award carries particular meaning for David and Liv. It recognizes Patrick Blanchette, the Maison Territo team and everyone who contributed to bringing the project to life. It also marks a milestone rather than a conclusion. Visit the showroom at Royalmount, in Montreal, to see the recognized space and the vision that continues to shape its next chapter.
