At Maison Territo, our collaboration with Loloi Rugs recently came to life during a private design event in Montreal hosted inside our showroom in Montreal. Designers and select clients joined us for an afternoon dedicated to understanding the brand in a focused and relaxed setting. Rather than a formal launch, the idea was simple: take the time to properly explore what makes Loloi Rugs a trusted name in area rugs, and why their collections work so well in both residential and commercial spaces.
The main presentation felt like an open atelier. The Loloi Rugs team walked guests through how their rugs are constructed, explaining the differences between hand-loomed, hand-knotted, and power-loomed techniques. They spoke about the fibers they use wool, cotton, blends and how each choice affects durability, softness, and texture. Patterns were discussed not as decoration, but as structure: how scale, density, and tone can quietly support a room. Guests handled samples, compared weaves, and asked practical questions about maintenance, traffic levels, and layering.
The conversation naturally moved into a Q&A, where designers connected what they had learned to their own projects. The Sumi Mist rug and the Roman Natural rug were often referenced as examples, one illustrating subtle tonal variation and softness, the other showing how a more grounded palette can anchor a space. Seeing these pieces up close helped clarify how color, texture, and structure can guide furniture placement and define zones within open layouts.
By the end of the event, Maison Territo and its guests saw Loloi Rugs with greater precision: not as finishing touches, but as foundational elements that shape atmosphere. If you’re planning a new project in Montreal, we invite you to visit our showroom to explore the full selection of Loloi Rugs and speak with our team about how the right area rug can support your space from the ground up.
