The most memorable hospitality interiors are rarely defined by a single gesture. At Flora Springs Winery, SICIS transforms an existing Napa Valley identity into an immersive world of art, nature and wine. What began as mosaic design for several tasting rooms expanded into exterior surfaces, furniture, textiles, lighting and bespoke elements an interior design case study in total environmental thinking.
Architecture Inspired by the Landscape
Joel Miroglio’s original building, shaped by the geological strata of Napa Valley, gave SICIS an architectural rhythm to amplify. Approximately 630 square metres of mosaic wrap its curved façade in green gradients recalling vineyards, earth, mountains and sky. Light shifts across the tesserae, making material and structure inseparable.
Furniture as Part of the Architecture
The furnishings follow the same logic. Amaretto seating receives custom fabrics developed for each room, while bespoke tables, stools and outdoor pieces echo surrounding surfaces. Philippe tables with Vetrite tops further dissolve the boundary between object and interior, showing how bespoke furniture can reinforce architecture rather than compete with it.
One Material Language, One Complete Environment
Across façade, tasting rooms, terraces and caves, mosaic, Vetrite, textiles, lighting and custom interiors operate as one material language. More than 1,100 square metres of hand-laid tesserae establish scale, but coherence is the achievement. SICIS evolves from supplier to design partner, guiding concept, production and installation through the craftsmanship of Italian design and luxury hospitality design.
